Can I leave excess luggage behind while on my trip?

If you are heading out on an extended trip and have extra luggage, you can leave it in our outdoor gear storage shed beside the B&B.  Please ensure bags are labeled, and ask for guidance on locating the shed.  If you have small breakable items, you can leave them in our office while on your trip.

How do I get from the B&B from the airport?

The B&B is about a 10 minute walk from the airport.  You can borrow a luggage push cart to help with your bags, but please return it immediately after dropping off your luggage at the B&B.

Shuttle service is available with Eagle Transit on a first come, first serve basis.  Please speak with the driver upon arrival to determine if they have space.  Shuttle service is also available with the Sandspit Community Shuttle, but it must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.

How do I get to the B&B from the Alliford Bay ferry landing?

The Alliford Bay ferry landing is approximately 12km from the B&B.  Eagle Transit provides shuttles from Graham Island to the Sandspit Airport at least once a day to meet the incoming Air Canada flight(s).  Otherwise, it is fairly common practice to ask for a ride into town with someone on the ferry.

Do you have kitchenettes, or use of the kitchen?

We do not offer rooms with kitchenettes.  Through the busy summer season the main kitchen is used for breakfast cooking/preparation only.  We do not mind if you use glasses or utensils but please wash and put them away afterwards.  

There are two drawers in the bottom of the fridge labeled “For Guest Use” to be used at your convenience when storing food and drink, but please label all items with your name, and check out date.  

Do you have internet?

We do offer wireless internet for guests.  Please keep in mind that the internet on Haida Gwaii is very limited and access can be unreliable.  Please refrain from streaming, downloading, watching Youtube videos, etc.  More reliable internet is also available at the Sandspit Airport.

What is the maximum number of people per room?

Our rates are based on double occupancy, and for various reasons, the maximum number of people per room is 3 (families with multiple small children may contact us for options).  We do not offer cot, or extra bedding rentals.

Do you offer parking?

We offer some parking at the Seaport B&B property.

We also have a large parking field behind the B&B, where guests going out on overnight trips may leave their vehicles.  

Do you allow pets?

Other than service animals, we do not allow pets.

What form of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Debit, cheque or cash.

What time will breakfast be?

We offer two breakfast times – one at 6:30am, which will be your breakfast time if you are heading out on a tour, and one at 8am.  If you are not going out on a tour, we will assume you would like the 8am breakfast time, so please let us know ahead of time if you'd prefer the earlier seating.

Can we have breakfast delivered to our room? Sorry, breakfast is only served in the dining room.

What happens if I arrive outside the check in hours?

If it is before check in hours, you are welcome to leave your luggage in the common area while you explore town until your room is ready.  If you arrive later than our check in hours, or if our B&B hosts have finished for the day, we will leave you a check in note inside on the counter with details for your check in.
