Sandspit: The Gateway to Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve & Haida Heritage Site

Sandspit is a small community of just a few hundred people located on Moresby Island, the southern island of the Haida Gwaii archipelago.  Most of the activities in Sandspit and the Moresby Island area focus on getting outdoors and exploring the wilderness areas that are our backyard.  Popular activities include sports fishing, river fishing, hiking and beachcombing, and birdwatching. For more information on activities in the area, contact the Sandspit Visitor Information Centre at 250-637-5362.
